Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician in California to support RN staff in delivering dialysis treatment and patient care. You will assist with machine setup, monitoring, and documentation, ensuring safety and accuracy throughout the treatment process.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient weights, collecting samples as needed, and helping maintain supplies and the treatment area. A CPR cert and dialysis or phlebotomy experience are preferred, with travel as required.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • CPR certification within required time.
  • Dialysis healthcare or phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Certification as Patient Care Technician within 18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations.
  • Prepare dialysis machines for hemodialysis treatments and monitor alarms.
  • Take pre- and post-treatment weights and document results.
  • Obtain blood samples for laboratory analysis as required.
  • Stock hemodialysis carts and maintain supply room.
  • Provide patient education under supervision of RN or Administrator.
