Job summary

100 LCMC Health seeks a Dialysis Biomedical Technician to provide clinical and technical support, maintaining and repairing dialysis machines and water treatment systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, or 2 years of repair and maintenance of dialysis equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on dialysis machines and water treatment equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance checks after appropriate hours of use or as designated, following equipment manufacturer specifications and hospital policies.
  • Dismantle, clean, disinfect, and sterilize dialysis machines and ancillary equipment.
  • Maintain support documentation and monitor R.O. system log sheets for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with electrical safety assurance and performance testing on all dialysis machines and related electrical equipment.
  • Educate and provide training to dialysis teammates on water culture collection, equipment operation, and proper utilization.
  • Report inventory and supply shortages to the manager; ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in unit safety inspections, participate in ESRD surveys and inspections, and support quality improvement and cost containment programs.
  • Perform monthly biomedical audit and document findings to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
