Qualifications

• 1-3 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist required
• 2-4 years of clinical experience as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• (S) - ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography certification or registry eligible required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support obtained within the 7 days of employment required

Responsibilities

• Performs all ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to department protocols and ensuring high-quality imaging
• Verifies patient identification and ensures procedures are ordered and acknowledged prior to imaging
• Recognizes and documents pathologies during scanning for radiologist interpretation
• Ensures patient care, safety and comfort during imaging procedures
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment following safety guidelines
• Operates ultrasound equipment safely per policies and manufacturer guidelines
• Documents imaging procedures and patient info in the EHR and scans to PACS
• Monitors imaging materials and coordinates inventory replenishment
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
