Qualifications

• Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound exams (abdomen, pelvis, scrotum, head/neck, vascular) preferred.
• Ability to assess patient safety, proper positioning, and infection control during exams.
• Ability to review orders, patient history, and prior studies for accurate imaging.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment for routine and complex sonography examinations.
• Ensure room is stocked and ready; monitor patient safety during procedures.
• Perform diagnostic sonography with proper labeling and artifact management.
• Assist radiologist with procedures using sterile technique when needed.
• Communicate findings and necessary corrections with radiologist/physician.
• Schedule and prepare requisitions for subsequent days.
