Qualifications

• Approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or ARRT approved Sonography Program.
• No experience required; 1 year of experience preferred.
• ARDMS/ARRT registry eligible required; BCLS on hire; ARDMS licensure path available.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures for patients of all ages.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and uses all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner components.
• Follows established imaging protocols for the performed exam.
• Adheres to ACR and Piedmont guidelines.
• Provides age-specific care per standards and practices.
• Educates patients and communicates according to standards.
• Engages in ongoing quality improvement and proficiency in required skills.
