Job summary

Tohono O'odham Nation Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across multiple TONHC facilities. The role requires expertise in ultrasound exams, patient positioning, and interpretation assistance for radiologists, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The incumbent will work within the Medical Imaging department, coordinating with physicians to optimize exam quality and patient care, and may relocate temporarily to Sells Hospital, Santa Rosa Health Center,

Qualifications

• Eligibility to register by ARDMS or ARRT (US) through formal education and clinical experience is required.
• One year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers).

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of ultrasound studies to assist in diagnosing and treating patients.
• Receives and reviews requests for ultrasound examinations from physicians and other providers.
• Correlates clinical history and data to optimize ultrasound exam value.
• Positions patients, explains procedures, and ensures cooperation.
• Selects, sets up, and operates ultrasound equipment.
• Maintains equipment, documentation, and participates in QA activities.
