Job Title: Diagnostic Technologist (X-Ray)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15219
Type: Direct Hire
Shift: Day, night, weekends, and on-call responsibility

Overview:
Our client, an esteemed medical facility, is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up-to-date protocols and procedures. Responsibilities:

1. Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
2. Performs all job responsibilities of Diagnostic Tech I.
3. Demonstrates competency with specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro Procedures, etc.) and analyzes data promptly. Performs electrocardiograms and lab draw functions if applicable.
4. Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up-to-date protocols and procedures.
5. Assists with the training of staff and student technologists.
6. Demonstrates the ability to function independently, cover shifts, handle on-call responsibilities, and perform services at satellite facilities, while maintaining communication with the lead and management team.
7. Participates in system-level standardization activities with workgroups.
8. Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development.

Qualifications:

1. A recent graduate from an ARRT-approved school.
2. For an advanced level role, at least 2 years of diagnostic experience is required.
3. Must obtain MR registry within 18 months of hire.
4. CPR or BLS required, based on AHA standards, including both didactic and skills demonstration components within 30 days of hire.
5. Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal.
6. Act 33 with renewal.
7. Act 34 with renewal.
8. Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
