The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Diagnostic Technician. The person in this position will perform duties related to service and research.
Perform tests on various analytes such as serum, whole blood, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and milk using agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID), ELISA, indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA), agglutination, radial immunodiffusion (RID), and SNAP to detect antibodies and enter results into LIMS and other database systems in the lab. Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and maintain the quality system through document reviews as well as corrective action responses, ensuring the quality of the test results. Train student help in the lab or perform other duties assigned by the section head.

Diagnostic Technician I - $16.76-28.49 per hour based on qualifications
Diagnostic Technician II - $18.86-32.05 per hour based on qualifications
Hiring manager will determine the appropriate position level candidates will be hired into based on education, experience, and department needs.
