UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Tech Clinical Specialist II to join our Radiology team. This role focuses on mentoring and developing imaging professionals in a high-acuity academic medical center environment.

You'll lead education initiatives, implement training programs and imaging protocols, collaborate with radiologists and researchers, and support quality improvement and research studies to advance patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform all responsibilities of a Diagnostic Tech I and Advanced Diagnostic Tech II.
• Lead and support clinical education, orientation, and training initiatives.
• Develop and implement new training programs and imaging protocols.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor for technologists and students.
• Collaborate with radiologists and researchers to advance imaging techniques and best practices.
• Support research studies, quality assurance initiatives, and protocol optimization efforts.
• Participate in continuing education, staff development, and performance review processes.
• Drive quality improvement projects across the department and imaging system.

This unique opportunity is ideal for an experienced technologist who is passionate not only about delivering exceptional patient care, but also about mentoring and developing the next generation of imaging professionals.

In this role, you'll enjoy a flexible schedule featuring daylight hours, every other weekend, select holidays, with a combination of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts each week.

You'll play a key role in supporting radiology students during their clinical rotations at UPMC Presbyterian, serving as a mentor, educator, and technical expert as they build their skills and confidence in a high-acuity academic medical center environment.
