Job summary

Harper College is seeking an instructor for the Diagnostic Sonography Program to teach laboratory course DCS 110 (Spring Wednesday) and co-teach DCS 209 and 210 (Spring and Fall Tuesday). Compensation is $51.50 per hour with typical days involving approximately 7-8 hours of clinical instruction.

The instructor will develop and deliver organized instruction, evaluate students, and maintain course materials in alignment with program goals and college expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two years (or 2000 hours) clinical experience specific to the concentration(s) that s/he teaches.
• Clinical experience in diagnostic medical sonography as described above.
• Remain active clinically while in the role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver organized instruction aligned with course objectives.
• Maintain attendance and academic records and submit reports.
• Teach courses per published description; coordinate with Program Coordinator/Division Dean.
• Update curricula in consultation with the Program Coordinator/Division Dean.
