Job description

Job Summary

Open position for an X‑ray Technician I (eligible for a $20,000 sign‑on bonus). Candidates may be considered for higher levels (X‑ray Tech II) based on skill, qualification, and experience.

Job Duties
  • Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
  • Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).
  • Prepares and/or administers medications as applicable through new or existing vascular access sites as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality, verifies archival storage/transfers of data, and post‑processes data if applicable.
  • Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
  • Assists the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
  • Performs diagnostic radiographic and non‑interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, including those performed outside the Radiology Department (operating room, endoscopy, ICU, etc.).
Position Details
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT‑R registry within 6 months of hire.
  • Applicants hired after March 10, 2024 must complete steps required for advancement to level 2 within 24 months.
Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program—Radiologic Technology (Required). Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (Preferred).

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of related work experience (Required).

Certification

Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body); Radiography (R) — American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
