Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
• Applicants for higher levels should meet additional experience requirements.
• Strong understanding of radiographic techniques, patient safety, and radiation safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient identification, ensure proper preparation, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Apply appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical settings, and adhere to ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data transfer, and perform post-processing if needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the Radiology Department.
