Job summary

Indiana Regional Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and ensure image quality in a fast-paced radiology department.

You will position patients, operate equipment, and maintain radiation safety according to ALARA principles. The role requires ARRT eligibility/registration within 6 months of graduation and BLS certification within 1 month of hire, with 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Registered with ARRT within 6 months of graduation.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures per physician orders.
• Properly position patients and adjust equipment settings to obtain optimal images.
• Ensure radiation safety by using ALARA principles.
• Verify patient identification and procedure orders before exams.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; report malfunctions.
• Upload and review images in PACS, ensuring quality standards.
• Follow protocols for image storage, labeling, and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and care team for timely exams.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and comfort.
• Assist during emergency or portable imaging as needed.
• Maintain infection control and regulatory compliance.
• Keep current with continuing education, licensure, and certification.
