Job summary

Orlando VA Healthcare System seeks a Diagnostic Radiologist - Nuclear Medicine to join our academic hospital program. The role includes interpreting nuclear medicine studies, performing PET/CT, body imaging, and managing radiopharmaceutical therapies with NRC oversight.

The position supports education and intradepartmental conferences with after-hours call from home. Ideal candidates have a board-eligible/certified radiology background, active U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship as required by VA policy
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• MD/DO degree from a school approved by VA for the year of graduation
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state/territory/DC
• Residency training approved by VA for board eligibility
• Eligible for board certification with supported residency program
• APPOINTMENT may include PRPs under supervision and limited scope

Responsibilities

• Open and continuous announcement; referrals after set periods
• Participate in VA physician rewards programs and EDRP eligibility
• Establish procedures for ordering, image acquisition, quality and safety in nuclear medicine
• Interpret general and specialized nuclear medicine studies including PET/CT
• Administer therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals under NRC compliance with safety officers
• Provide body imaging experience for diagnostic radiology including CT, MR, US
• Take after-hours call from home and participate in intradepartmental conferences
