Job summary

TTUHSC Amarillo Clements Unit is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and ensure safety and accuracy in imaging procedures.

You will maintain equipment, document imaging records, and collaborate with medical staff and security personnel, while following infection control protocols and regulatory requirements. This role requires ARRT licensure, Texas Medical Board licensure, and BLS. The position is full-time with a day shift in Amarillo, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved two-year program in radiological technology.
• Current and unrestricted ARRT licensure and Texas Medical Board licensure, and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams such as X-rays as ordered by licensed providers.
• Maintain and calibrate radiology equipment to ensure safety and image quality.
• Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain imaging records in compliance with policies.
• Communicate effectively with inmates, medical staff, and security personnel to ensure safe and efficient imaging services.
• Follow all infection control protocols and safety standards during imaging procedures.
• Provide support in emergency situations requiring imaging services.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal radiology regulations, including radiation dose monitoring.
• Physically maneuver equipment and position inmates for imaging in constrained and secure environments.
