Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking an American Board Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist for an on-site assignment in Wellington, FL. The role covers 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with night call. The pathologist will sign out surgical pathology cases with a focus on thyroid and breast tissue, and perform frozen sections as required.

Annual caseload is about 8,000 cases; daily activity ranges 10–20 cases. Autopsies are not required, and on-site support includes a Pathologist Assistant.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pathologist required for this locum-tenens assignment.
• Anatomic and clinical pathology expertise with surgical sign-out.
• Frozen section analysis is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic pathology coverage Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM on-site.
• Perform surgical pathology sign-out focusing on thyroid and breast cases.
• Handle night call as part of ongoing coverage; autopsies not required.
• Approximately 8,000 cases annually; 10–20 cases daily.
