Job summary

Concorde in Portland, OR is seeking an experienced instructor for medical sonography who will deliver high-quality classroom and lab-based instruction, integrate theory with hands-on practice, and support student success. You will teach, assess progress, maintain curriculum alignment with industry standards, and collaborate with clinical partners to ensure program effectiveness.

On-campus duties and occasional online interaction are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degee in Medical Sonography
• 4 Years professional experience in sonography, with a minimum of 2 years in abdomen and OB/GYN
• 4 years clinical experience ( equired)
• Registered in at least one of the Sonography specialties for which they assume a primary teaching role (required)
• Unencumbered RDMS certification with specializations in OBGYN or Abdominals (required)
• Teaching experience in a clinical setting Preferred, Not Required

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver class objectives in a clear, concise manner
• Foster and maintain an orderly, controlled, and safe environment for students in classrooms and labs
• Maintain curriculum accuracy by keeping up to date on industry standards and practices
• Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions on assigned topics, diagnostic procedures, equipment operation and troubleshooting, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
• Provide and maintain regular, substantive interaction with students in online course components
• Meet with students and education personnel to discuss instructional programs and related issues
• Provide periodic and ad-hoc reporting to stakeholders
