The role involves independent operation of sonographic equipment, performing examinations, and communicating results to physicians.

Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited program with ARDMS certification and a minimum of 3 years in ultrasound.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Radiologic Technology program with ARDMS is required.
• Active ARDMS certification in the specialty(ies) as appropriate.
• Current CME requirements compliance for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
• Minimum of 3 years in ultrasound modality.

Aufgaben

• Performs all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician.
• Prepare preliminary reports and contact referring physicians when required.
• Coordinates with other staff to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Addresses problems of patient care as they arise and makes decisions to resolve them.
