Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital West Valley in Utah is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to provide high-quality imaging and patient care. You will perform a range of ultrasound exams (abdominal, pelvic, OB, vascular) and serve as a clinical resource, upholding ALARA and current practice standards.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR); or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT)ARDMS registered RVT(VT) or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT);or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS)
• BLS through American Heart Association
• For UT: LRT preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; degrees preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts and vascular; may perform cardiac procedures.
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Prepares patient for exam; provides information and instruction and responds to needs.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports unusual occurrences.
• Maintains technical operation of equipment and logs service calls as needed.
• Inputs charges and data for procedures and supplies used
