Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist (X-ray and CT) to join our team. This full-time role involves 12-hour shifts, with two nearby locations and a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited radiography program.
• Minimum 1 year imaging experience in hospital/healthcare.
• Must be able to work in two or more modalities with rotation.
• ARRT registered as Radiologic Technologist on start; advanced modality cert within 1 year; BLS within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical imaging services in X-ray and CT per imaging standards.
• Ensure patient safety and sound patient care practices.
• Obtain clinical history and informed consent to assist interpretation.
• Perform routine quality control testing and maintenance of imaging equipment.
• Assist in policy/procedure development and perform additional duties as assigned.

Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist (Xray and CT) Job Responsibilities:

• The Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist provides clinical services in multiple modalities, according to Imaging practice standards, with equal time spent in each modality, based on OU needs, while acting as a resource to Imaging Students and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.
• Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures while ensuring the safety of patients.
• Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations.
• Performs and documents routine quality control testing of equipment, as well as performs/recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images, as evidenced by the physician and exam results.
• Assists in the development, review, and implementation of policies/procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography
• Experience:
• Minimum of one year of imaging experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital/healthcare environment.
• Must be able to perform in two or more modalities with at least even amount of time spent rotating in each annually based on needs. CT Cross Training.
• Certification:
  • ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist upon start
  • Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training
  • American Heart Association BLS within 3 months of hire.
