Job summary

South Central Regional Medical Center in Magee, MS is seeking a Radiographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort under general supervision.

You will position patients for X-ray, CT, and other imaging modalities, follow radiation safety protocols, maintain records, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver timely information.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiography program or equivalent education.
• Certification or licensure as a Radiographer as required by the appropriate regulatory body.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, anatomy, and radiation safety principles.
• Ability to operate radiographic and imaging equipment proficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and C-arm procedures.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing discomfort and radiation exposure.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Communicate with radiologists and healthcare providers regarding imaging procedures and results as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient records and procedural documentation.
• Assist with calibration, quality control, and maintenance of imaging equipment.
• Provide compassionate patient care and education regarding imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
