The Diagnostic Imaging and Procedural Research Integration Manager serves as the primary operational bridge between Diagnostic Imaging & Procedural Services and the Research enterprise. This role is responsible for aligning clinical imaging and procedural operations with research requirements to ensure that imaging-related research activities are operationally feasible, financially sound, compliant, and seamlessly integrated into clinical workflows.

The role focuses on relationship management, pricing and fee development, operational coordination, workflow analysis, and change management to support successful execution of imaging and procedure based research trials while minimizing disruption to patient care and clinical operations.

This position will be 1.0FTE/full-time, Monday-Friday. The expectation is that this individual will be onsite the majority of the time, at our South Lake Union location in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary bridge between Diagnostic Imaging & Procedural Services and the Research enterprise, fostering strong, trusted partnerships that align clinical operations with research objectives.
  • Partner closely with imaging and procedural clinical leaders to co-develop, prioritize, and oversee research-related workstreams that protect clinical access, quality, and operational sustainability.
  • Lead development of imaging-related research pricing strategies, including fee letters and costing models, in collaboration with clinical leaders, research finance, and contracting teams.
  • Facilitate and manage governance and operational meetings between Diagnostic Imaging leadership and research teams, ensuring clear decision-making, accountability, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze research workflows and their impact on clinical imaging and procedural operations, identifying risks, capacity implications, and opportunities for alignment.
  • Design, implement, and maintain standardized tools and processes to ensure there are no operational gaps across the lifecycle of each imaging-related research trial.
  • Lead change management efforts for imaging and procedure related research activity, partnering with clinical leaders to prepare teams, implement new workflows, and ensure successful adoption.
  • Monitor and communicate operational performance and risks, providing actionable insights and recommendations to imaging and research leadership to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, clinical sciences, or related field
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging and procedural operations within an acute or ambulatory healthcare setting.
  • Experience collaborating with research operations or clinical trial teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex workflows between clinical and research environments.
  • Proven relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in change management, including leading operational adoption of new processes or workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with clinical leaders to co-develop solutions, workflows, and operational strategies.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional groups toward shared outcomes.
  • Proven experience managing complex workstreams and change initiatives in healthcare environments.
  • Ability to balance competing clinical and research priorities while maintaining trust and alignment.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MPH, or similar)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, imaging operations, or research operations. Demonstrated experience working at the intersection of clinical services and research preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical research operations, including feasibility assessments and study implementation.
  • Familiarity with healthcare pricing, fee development, or cost accounting.
  • Experience supporting imaging-related research (e.g., MRI, CT, PET, interventional procedures).

The annual base salary range for this position is from $126,984.00 to $200,678.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.

This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.
