Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a CT Tech Intern to assist with preparing patients and collecting information for radiologic procedures, while performing general diagnostic radiography under technologist supervision. You will observe patient conditions and practice ALARA safety according to Federal standards.

The role requires active enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with at least one year of training completed, and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program; must have completed first year.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and collect relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Perform general diagnostic radiographic procedures under technologist supervision.
• Operate CT machine and contrast injector within the CT department under guidance of the supervising technologist.
• Practice ALARA radiation safety as described in Federal standards and maintain documentation of competency.
