Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated RN to join our Diabetes Education team in Missouri. The role focuses on nursing duties in the clinic and hospital education for newly diagnosed diabetes, delivering Diabetes and Nutritional Education Services inpatient and outpatient, and endocrine education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri work permit.
• CDES certification or willing to obtain within two years.
• Preferred Certification: CDES.
• Preferred Other: Pediatric clinical expertise; diabetes education and endocrine disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing duties in the clinic setting and hospital education for newly diagnosed diabetes.
• Deliver Diabetes and Nutritional Education Services inpatient and outpatient.
• Provide Endocrine Education to patients and families regarding growth hormone deficiency, adrenal insufficiency, precocious puberty, diabetic insipidus and other endocrine disorders.
