Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Registered Dietitian Diabetes and Nutrition Education Specialist for a full-time day shift. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Dietetics (or ACEND‑accredited path), RD licensure, and CDCES certification within 2.5 years.

Qualifications

• CDCES certification required within 2.5 years of hire
• RD licensure (CDR) required
• ACEND accreditation required if the Bachelor's is not in Dietetics
• CDECS preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate education and care of patients with diabetes
• Educate staff and counsel patients to promote wellness and prevent complications
• Serve as a clinical resource for inpatient and outpatient populations
• Support DEAP program accreditation and participate in cross-training for coverage
