Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA, is seeking an Imaging Support Assistant to perform clerical tasks, assist the department, reset rooms after exams, restock supplies, and transport patients as needed.

The role requires direct patient contact experience (6+ months) and knowledge of radiology terms. CNA license is desired. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU Healthcare 1199NW.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of proper body mechanics.
• Knowledge of Radiology/Medical terminology.
• 6+ months of direct patient contact experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming and interoffice calls and inquiries.
• Greet patients and prepare them for their scan.
• Obtain lab work and patient information from Cerner.
• Schedule exams from the imaging queue and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Update patient status in the RIS after exam completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $24.78 - $37.99 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary

Assists the Diagnostic Imaging staff by performing various clerical duties and provides assistance to the department by cleaning rooms after exams, restocking supplies and transporting patients, as needed.

Primary Duties

1. Handles incoming and interoffice telephone calls and inquiries.
2. Greets patients, obtains history from patients, readies them for scan.
3. Obtains lab work and other necessary patient information from Cerner.
4. Schedules exams from the Cerner imaging queue, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate.
5. Updates patient status in the RIS to indicate exam completion.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience

REQUIRED for the position:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Good working knowledge of proper body mechanics
• Knowledge of Radiology/Medical terminology
• Experience with direct patient contact experience for at least 6 months

DESIRED for the position:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and experience
