Job summary

Sage Connections, LLC is hiring a full-time W-2 Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide K-12 school-based services for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students across PreK–High School, with a Monday–Friday schedule and onsite at a school in North Carolina.

Ideal candidates hold a NC DHH teaching license (or eligibility) and have experience with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, IEP development, and collaborative teamwork with educators and interpreters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Valid North Carolina DHH teaching license or eligibility for licensure through NCDPI.
• Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students preferred.
• Knowledge of IEPs, specialized instruction, and communication approaches for DHH students.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school-based settings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs based on students' needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service providers to support student success.
• Adapt instructional materials and classroom environments to ensure accessibility and participation.
• Assess and monitor students' academic progress, communication skills, and learning needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families and school teams.
