Job summary

BodySpec in New York City is seeking a DEXA Technologist to perform bone density and body composition scans in a startup-friendly environment. You’ll deliver a professional, welcoming experience and own your scanning days with autonomy.

The role requires NYS Radiography license or ARRT (Radiography), and a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. Compensation includes hourly rate $53, plus bonuses and equity opportunities, and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Perform DEXA scans (bone density and body composition) and guide clients through a seamless, professional experience

• Handle light administrative work and equipment care
• Complete paid onboarding training (one week, travel covered) to learn our systems and scanning protocols

First-year DEXA Technologists in NYC can expect to earn up to $120,099 in total cash compensation, plus equity.

What Will You Do?

Schedule

Full-time with 8-hour shifts. Start times typically range from 7:00am to 12:00pm. One weekend day per week required.

Requirements

• New York State Radiography license
• OR ARRT certification (Radiography)
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $53.00/hour ($110,240 annualized at 40 hrs/week)
• Performance Bonus: Up to 7% of base annually ($7,717) half paid in cash ($3,859), half in stock options
• Team Revenue Bonus: $500/month when we hit monthly goals ($6,000 annually-we hit our goals 9 out of 12 months in 2025)
• Total Cash Compensation: Up to $120,099
• Equity: Stock options through performance bonus and additional grants based on performance

All team members regardless of position are eligible for additional stock option grants and profit sharing based on performance. We expect both cash and equity compensation to grow as the company scales.
