Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in DEXA imaging to perform high quality scans and data analysis for clinical and research patients at the 500 Red Creek Dr location in Henrietta, NY. The role requires adherence to patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with MD staff.

Qualified candidates will have formal radiologic technology training and ISCD/CBDT certification preferred, with strong anatomy knowledge and precise equipment

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality DEXA scans by conducting scans in a safe and efficient manner.
• Independently performs DEXA scans on clinical and/or research patients as per MD order.
• Verifies and follows referring providers' orders while remaining in compliance with departmental policies.
• Provides accurate analysis of DEXA scan data and forwards such data to supervising MD office.
• Scans data into web-based computer system.
• Interacts with internal and external physician/providers offices as needed.
• Poses a sound understanding of human anatomy and x-ray positioning.
