Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a DevSecOps Platform Engineer to support enterprise DevSecOps platforms, including GitHub, Nexus, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. The role focuses on AWS-hosted infrastructure (including EKS), developing automation, and addressing security and operational issues to ensure platform reliability.

This position requires 2+ years with Kubernetes, AWS, Linux administration, and networking, plus scripting in Python or Bash.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, scaling, capacity management.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Linux systems administration, and enterprise networking fundamentals.
• Experience with CI / CD and DevSecOps technologies such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Sonatype products.
• Experience developing scripts or automation in languages such as Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP / IP, routing, firewalls, security groups, load balancing, and network troubleshooting.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar technical problems and independently manage assigned work from initial analysis through implementation and resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or systems administration in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade enterprise DevSecOps platforms (GitHub, Nexus, Jenkins, Sonatype products, and related tooling).
• Develop automation to improve platform availability and security across AWS and on‑prem infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot incidents and respond to critical events across the CI/CD pipeline.
