Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC is seeking a seasoned DevSecOps Lead Engineer to support the SBA program in Washington, DC. You will drive secure software delivery by shaping CI/CD pipelines, integrating security across the SDLC, and leading a team of engineers in a federal government context.

The role requires deep DevSecOps expertise, cloud, containerization, IaC, and a track record of transforming security in complex environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/IT or equivalent combo of education and experience.
7+ years in software engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps with CI/CD and federal or large enterprise exposure.
Expert-level CI/CD tools experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
Certifications: CKA, AWS DevOps, or equivalent; CKSS/CKS or similar is a plus.
Master’s degree in related field; prior SBA-like federal civilian agency experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead DevSecOps design, act as SME for SBA pipelines and culture.
Design, implement, and continuously improve SBA CI/CD pipelines and toolchain.
Integrate SAST/DAST/SCA and container security into SDLC and IaC security scanning.
Develop DevSecOps strategy, roadmap, and standards aligned with federal guidance.
Oversee IaC practices and cloud provisioning automation.
Mentor engineers and deliver DevSecOps training and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with ISSO and security teams to support ATO and continuous monitoring.
Provide leadership for code reviews, architecture reviews, and security reviews.
