Job summary

Island Staffing seeks a qualified DevSecOps Engineer to design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines in AWS and on-prem environments. The role requires TS/SCI clearance eligibility and experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Rancher.

The candidate will automate deployment, harden security, and support tooling across multi-cloud and air-gapped setups, using Python, Bash/PowerShell, Ansible, and GitLab. On-site San Diego location with customer-facing collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or a similar role.
• Must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with AWS GC, cloud services, and air gapped environments.
• Experienced Full stack, system administration, virtualization, infrastructure integration, platform/infrastructure, Agile development.
• Knowledge of on-premises cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with at least one containerization technology (Kubernetes and Docker) and container orchestration platform (e.g., Rancher and Docker Swarm).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with at least one automation toolkit such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with at least one monitoring tool or frameworks (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and takes initiative.
