Job summary

A technology solutions provider based in Huntsville, Alabama, is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer. This role involves implementing DevSecOps practices using tools like Jenkins and Gitlab, alongside hands-on development with Kubernetes, Docker, and maintaining containerized applications. The ideal candidate has a B.S/B.A. in Engineering or a related field and a strong focus on cybersecurity controls. Job Description and Required Skills:

• Providing DevSecOps implementation using Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar tools
• Hands-on development experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
• Developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications
• Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud systems and architectures (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure)
• Development with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Jenkins, Packer, Terraform, and Ansible
• Strong Bash or Python coding skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience implementing and managing DevSecOps pipelines that integrate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) environments, including automated build, test, and deployment processes for both software and firmware.
• Candidate should demonstrate the ability to securely interface with physical hardware, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, enforce cybersecurity controls throughout the CI/CD lifecycle, and ensure reproducibility, traceability and reliability of system-level results.
• Experience with cloud systems and architectures (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure)
• Eager to learn new technologies and gain an expert-level understanding of the latest approaches (auto-scaled cloud-based systems, serverless architectures, cloud/on-premises hybrid solutions)
• A passion for agile and DevSecOps methodologies
• Skillset capable of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise that consists of hundreds of applicationsStrong ‘security first’ mindset
• Familiar with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP)
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Bash and Python, etc.)
• Ability to work on high performing teams supporting multiple projects and personnel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Istio is a plus
• Privileged User Certification: DoD 8570.01-M, IASAE Level II

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Nine (9) years of relevant experience with a B.S/B.A. in Engineering, Information Security, or related field or 11 years equivalent experience.

Salary Range:

• $160,000 – $190,000
