Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join a mission-focused team supporting on-prem and cloud infrastructure for intelligence customers. The role emphasizes automation, security, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions.

Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI with CI poly, have a strong Linux background, and possess experience with DevSecOps pipelines and IaC. The position involves working in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and maintain private cloud environment using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (IaC) with Ansible or Chef.
• Build and maintain automated DevSecOps pipelines (ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, Cypress/JMeter).
• Monitor issues from OS to deployed apps and ensure compliance to accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate with distributed SAFe teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage OpenShift and Kubernetes to configure, monitor, and maintain this private cloud environment
• Create and maintain automated, repeatable environment creation and configuration (Infrastructure as Code) scripts using ansible, chef, or similar tools
• Create and maintain automated DevSecOps pipelines using leading open-source offerings, including ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, Cucumber, JMeter, and Cypress.io
• Monitor, Predict, Update, and Resolve issues at all levels, from bare-metal operating systems to deployed applications
• Oversee and manage compliance to ATO accreditation needs with tuning, patching or documentation.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain a CI poly).
• Bachelor's degree with 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role (additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree).
• Demonstrated technical experience with DevSecOps and strong Linux experience.
• Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
• Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
• Communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
• Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA .

Desired Qualifications:

• Hardware and software sustainment with IC and DoD networks.
