U.S. News & World Report is seeking a Senior Software Developer to build data-driven web applications using Python, React, and AI-first tooling. You will work with product teams to design, implement and ship features that scale to millions of users.

You'll collaborate across disciplines, mentor junior developers, and apply AI-assisted development practices to improve workflows and product quality.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum three years of related or similar full stack experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, skills, agents, automations.
• Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS.
• Server-side technologies, such as Python, Java, or NodeJS.
• Databases, such as PostgreSQL.
• Unix-based operating systems, such as Linux or Mac OS X, along with the shells and command-line tools available in those environments.
• Version control, such as Git.

Developers typically see applications through from beginning to end, working directly with project owners to create, implement, upgrade, optimize, and test features and projects.

As a senior software developer, you will be:

• Only New York or Washington, DC based applicants to work a hybrid schedule. The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
