Job summary

Virtualitics, Inc. is seeking a seasoned DevSecOps Engineer to deploy and support our platform within DoD and commercial environments.

You will design and maintain secure cloud infrastructure, enforce end-to-end security across CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, compliant architectures. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevSecOps, strong AWS expertise, and hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes RBAC, and SBOM

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or cloud security engineering.
• Advanced AWS experience (EC2, VPC, S3, ECR, EKS, RDS, IAM, SSO).
• Kubernetes expertise including RBAC, network policies, and pod security standards.
• Experience with secure CI/CD pipelines and SBOM generation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Implement and enforce security controls across CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Mitigate container and dependency vulnerabilities using automated scanning and remediation workflows.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and QA to ensure secure, scalable deployment architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and support Virtualitics’ platform within DoD and commercial customer environments.
• Design, build, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Implement and enforce security controls across CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Mitigate container and dependency vulnerabilities using automated scanning and remediation
• workflows.
• Build and improve automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and
• compliance.
• Support ATO processes and ongoing compliance efforts.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.Collaborate with Platform Engineers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and QA to ensure secure, scalable deployment architectures.

Skills & Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or cloud security engineering.
• Advanced AWS experience (EC2, VPC, S3, ECR, EKS, RDS, Route 53/DNS, IAM, SSO, Bedrock, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager).
• Strong experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Kubernetes expertise including RBAC, network policies, and pod security standards.
• Experience designing and implementing secure CI/CD pipelines that scan code, build and sign hardened container images, generate SBOMs, publish to secure registries, and automate deployment into Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with container hardening and secure registries (e.g., Iron Bank, Chainguard).
• Experience deploying containerized workloads into DoD environments (Platform One, Cloud One, Palantir,FedStart, etc.).
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and CMMC 2.0 controls.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL database administration.
