Job summary

BD is seeking a software-focused DevOps engineer to design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu, Arm, Bicep, Ansible, Pulumi). You will build, maintain, and secure CI/CD pipelines and document best practices for software teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration with development, adherence to FDA regulations and Waters quality systems, and staying current with threats and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM.
• 5-7 years of proven software development experience.
• Strong DevOps principles and methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and securing cloud infrastructures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu, Arm, Bicep, Ansible, Pulumi).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated to plan, organize, and prioritize activities.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Proficiency with security tools for static and dynamic analysis (e.g., SonarCloud, OWASP ZAP).
• Experience in performance tuning of applications is preferred.
• C#, Python experience is mandatory; SQL and PowerShell scripting preferred.

• Enhance the company’s security posture by staying abreast of the latest threats and technologies.
• Developing technical solutions for complex problems using sound engineering principles.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other STEM degree
• 5 - 7 years of proven experience in software development
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and securing cloud infrastructures
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu, Arm, Bicep, Ansible, Pulumi, etc.

• Experience with either C#, Python, is mandatory while SQL and PowerShell for scripting and automation is preferred
