The DevSecOps Engineer enhances and modernizes how engineering teams build, test, secure, and deliver products across complex software and systems environments. This role advances DevSecOps and platform engineering initiatives by driving automation, improving developer productivity, strengthening observability, and introducing AI-enabled solutions that reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery. The engineer collaborates closely with software, systems, infrastructure, and IT teams to streamline development workflows, integrate engineering tools, and build scalable automation solutions that create a more connected and efficient engineering ecosystem. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving developer experiences, and building solutions that directly impact engineering efficiency and product delivery.
This role supports mission‑driven work that contributes to technologies used in critical defense, aerospace, and national security applications, with products that have real‑world impact and high visibility. You will work with cutting‑edge technology, including modern DevSecOps and platform engineering practices, AI‑assisted development tools, cloud platforms, embedded systems, and secure software environments. You will collaborate with experienced software, systems, hardware, and infrastructure engineers, gaining exposure to both traditional software development and highly specialized engineering environments. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melbourne, FL.
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
