Job summary

GlobalSource IT is seeking a senior DevSecOps Engineer to own application security initiatives, integrate automated security scanning across development teams, and work hands-on with Azure to strengthen security from development through deployment. You will collaborate with developers and security teams, tackle vulnerabilities, and help shape a robust security program across the organization.

Location: Greater Houston Area; this is a full-time, hybrid role with onsite work two days per week;

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related fields.
• Experience with application security scanning tools and secure coding practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and security frameworks (NIST/SOC 2).

Ready to take application security to the next level? GlobalSource IT is working with a direct client seeking a senior-level DevSecOps Engineer who wants to do more than just find vulnerabilities - they want someone who can help build smarter, stronger security practices from the ground up!

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of application security initiatives, integrate automated security scanning across development teams, and work hands-on with Microsoft Azure to help keep applications secure from development through deployment. You'll collaborate with developers and security teams, tackle vulnerabilities, strengthen security processes, and make a real impact on the organization's security posture.

What we're looking for:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, application security, software development, or network security.
• Experience with application security scanning tools, secure coding, and vulnerability remediation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, third-party risk assessments, and security frameworks such as NIST or SOC 2.
• A proactive problem-solver who enjoys taking ownership and working across teams.
