Job summary

Fluent Trade Technologies Limited is seeking a Head of DevOps to lead and scale a global DevOps organization from an on-site Jerusalem location. The role focuses on transforming a text-based, manual setup into a generator-based, automated process and driving rapid, reliable deployments.

You will guide a distributed team, implement industry best practices, and collaborate with engineering, QA, and client delivery teams to improve performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps/SRE with 5+ years in leadership or management.
• Experience working with multiple external customers.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems: Git and SVN.
• Extensive Linux systems administration experience (RedHat 8 preferred).
• Experience with Database applicative versioning and large, non-cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience managing production systems in a mission‑critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of DevOps engineers.
• Oversee environment versioning, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
• Revolutionize text-based configuration into a generator-based process for multi-server scalability.
• Drive DevOps knowledge collection and team training to set a gold standard for deployment.
• Manage the team - recruit, train, allocate tasks, supervise delivery.
• Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, including monitoring, incident response, and security hardening.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance reliability, scalability, and speed of delivery.
