Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Jessup, MD seeks a hands‑on DevOps leader to guide the ADC Non-Relational and Emerging Databases team. You will hire and grow talent, design scalable platforms, and drive reliable, secure services for Neptune, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and ElastiCache.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in leading DevOps teams, strong technical ability, and excellent communication skills in a fast‑paced environment. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP required.
• 3+ years managing system or software development teams.
• 5+ years professional software development or systems engineering experience.
• 2+ years coordinating work across multiple teams.
• Current, active US Government Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a best‑in‑class DevOps team delivering high‑impact services.
• Design scalable, robust architectures for AWS database products.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering and operational excellence.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Drive standards, metrics, and continuous learning across the team.
• Maintain TS/SCI clearance and ensure compliance with security requirements.
