Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals is seeking a System Engineer to join a DevOps-focused team in Annapolis, MD. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support multiple product teams.

The role emphasizes automation, scalability, and collaboration across stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD, and familiar with Grafana/Prometheus and Elasticsearch for monitoring and logging.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure uptime.
• Kubernetes experience focusing on EKS.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Prometheus/Grafana, PGAdmin, etc.

Responsibilities

• Developing Infrastructure As Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
• Install, configure, and provide performance tuning utilizing Kubernetes and cloud native logging and metrics collection tools (Elasticsearch, Grafana/Prometheus).
• Managing Gitlab CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab runners and Argo CD.
• Managing commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
• Communication and collaboration: DevOps is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
