Job summary

Esri in Redlands, CA is seeking an experienced systems engineer to support public cloud, automate workflows, and advance DevSecOps practices. You will design and maintain cloud-based components across AWS/Azure and private clouds, build automation tools, and implement containerized workloads with Docker/Kubernetes (EKS).

The role includes 24/7 on-call support and collaboration with development teams to improve deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure management and automation.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure)
• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments
• Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet/Chef)
• Ability to write code in Python/PowerShell for infrastructure scripting
• Strong understanding of build/automation systems such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Strong knowledge and experience with Git
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
• Ability to automate self-service workflows
• Understanding/experience of cloud and web security is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related STEM field

• Perform day-to-day support of the applications covering deployment, patching and general administration
• Troubleshoot the system and provide root cause analysis
• Provide rotational 24/7 on-call technical support

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Previous experience with cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience with Jenkins pipelines and libraries
• Working experience with Linux containers (Docker) and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
• Previous experience supporting mission-critical distributed systems
• Ability to share your expertise through documentation and mentorship
• Passionate about creating workflows that help produce a great self-service developer experience
• Good problem-solving skills and passion to learn, explore new technologies

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$70,304 - $122,720 USD
