Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Middleware, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience supporting Java-based applications and JVM tuning.
• Hands-on experience with JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat or similar application servers.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability environments.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.

Job description

Location: Remote (PST hours)

Duration: 6 month Contract-to-Hire

Work Authorization: W2 only (No C2C or sponsorship)

Summary:

This role focuses on platform administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity management, and system optimization across critical production environments.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting Java-based platforms, Linux environments, and middleware technologies, with a strong operational mindset and a passion for solving complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support middleware, integration, and application server platforms.
• Monitor and optimize CPU, memory, JVM, and overall system performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Administer and support Apache NiFi and related integration technologies.
• Manage clustered environments, scalability, and platform capacity.
• Support upgrades, patching, and security certificate management.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Middleware, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience supporting Java-based applications and JVM tuning.
