Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist-DevOps to design, deploy, and manage containerized apps across Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Red Hat platforms. You will work with application teams to ensure high availability, security, and scalable performance in hybrid cloud environments.

Your role emphasizes IaC provisioning, Kubernetes management with Docker/CRIO, and integrating performance metrics into CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Multi-Cloud Platform Expertise: Exposure to designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications across Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Red Hat platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code Provisioning: Experience working with Infrastructure as Code provisioning and sandbox environment creation.
• Kubernetes Cluster Management: Managing Kubernetes clusters with Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO.
• CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, tools for performance, code quality, and code coverage, and defining quality gates.
• Virtualized Environment Management: Migrating and managing OpenShift environments for high availability and security across on‑premises and cloud.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Specialist-DevOps, you will design, deploy, and manage containerized applications across multiple cloud platforms. You will collaborate with application development and architecture teams to ensure high availability, load balancing, and security compliance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Design and Deploy Containerized Applications: Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications across Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Red Hat platforms, utilizing Infrastructure as Code provisioning and sandbox environment creation expertise.
• Administer Hybrid Cloud Environments: Administer hybrid cloud environments, configure HA/DR measures, and manage Kubernetes clusters using Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO expertise.
• Monitor SLAs and Services Health: Monitor SLAs, services health, and key metrics, integrating these with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Integrate Tools for Performance Measurement: Collaboratively identify and integrate tools for performance, code quality, and code coverage measurement, defining quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage Virtualized Environments: Migrate and manage virtualized environments using Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring high availability, load balancing, and security compliance across on-premises, public cloud, and as-a-service deployments.

In line with applicable pay transparency requirements, we are sharing the annual base pay range (gross).

26.845EUR – 52.000 EUR. These amounts are based on a full-time schedule over a full calendar year.

• Advanced Containerization: Experience working with containerization technologies beyond Kubernetes, Docker, and CRIO, such as container networking and storage solutions.
• Hybrid Cloud Optimization: Exposure to optimizing hybrid cloud environments for high availability, load balancing, and scalability, using Infrastructure as Code provisioning and sandbox environment creation expertise.
