DCI Solutions in Chantilly, VA is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support next‑gen infrastructure, design, deploy, and secure platform components, and own the full stack. The role emphasizes automation, container orchestration, and system hardening to enable scalable services.

Candidates should have hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and OpenShift, plus networking and security fundamentals. A TS/SCI clearance is required for this full‑time position located on site in Chantilly.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying, managing, and monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience containerizing applications with Docker/Podman and deploying on OpenShift.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, firewalls, and troubleshooting.
• Scripting in Python/Go/Bash for automation and tooling.
• Understanding of basic security concepts: encryption, authentication, authorization, and access controls.
• Familiarity with IdM, OIDC, KeyCloak, Authentik is a plus.
• Ability to deploy and utilize local Large Language Models (LLMs) for internal tooling.

Location: Chantilly, VA Job Description:

• Serve as a DevOps Engineer supporting next-gen infrastructure to drive innovation
• Design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure
• Be responsible for the entire stack
• DNS, IdM, OCP, OAUTH, DHCP, S3, NFS, Application Stack, and more
• Automate the deployment and configuration of:
• Operating systems and applications
• Platform components associated with Kubernetes
• Collaborate with people inside and outside the organization Qualifications:
• Experience deploying, managing, and monitoring Kubernetes
• And the containerized applications running within
• Understanding of networking concepts, including:
• Bonding, bridging, VLANs, firewalls, and troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of multiple operating systems (Linux, BSD, UNIX)
• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages: Python, Go, Bash
• Understanding of containerization platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
• Basic understanding of security concepts, including:
• Encryption, authentication, authorization, and access controls
• Working knowledge of authentication protocols and methodologies
• IdM, OIDC, KeyCloak, Authentik
• Experience containerizing applications via Docker / Podman
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. Preferred Qualifications
• Proficient with filesystems (File, Block, Object)
• Experience managing and validating disaster recovery processes
