Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the IC community from Herndon, VA. The role focuses on deploying AWS resources, building CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure with Kubernetes.

You will work with a collaborative team including software and data engineers to deliver automated, resilient solutions. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required to apply, reflecting the government-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in DevOps, front end development or full stack development.
• Experience with Bash scripting.
• Experience working within AWS environments.
• Experience working with Linux administration and systems design.
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with network documentation including security compliance, configuration management, and patching.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and provisioning AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM roles, and VPC configurations to support scalable architecture.
• Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD processes using GitLab and GitHub.
• Running routine vulnerability scans, applying patches, and updating cloud and physical infrastructures to ensure security compliance.
• Designing and maintaining Kubernetes and EKS clusters to ensure high availability and productivity for the development team.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure complete and functional systems that meet all requirements.
• Recommending, and when approved, implementing process and policy improvements.

DevOps Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA

Salary Range:1$80 - $230k

*Clearance: *Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph needed to apply *

The DevOps Engineer will leverage their technical background to help deliver automation and big data analytics for the IC community. You will be trained in DevOps and work alongside a collaborative team of Software Developers, Systems Development Engineers, Network Engineers, and Data Engineers to develop unique software that enables customer networks to safely operate at scale.
