Job summary

Avalon is seeking a DevOps engineer to join our systems integration department at our Majadahonda offices. You will perform Linux and Windows administration, manage infrastructure, and support application deployments and monitoring.

Requirements include strong Linux/Windows admin skills, SQL/DB server expertise, scripting, networking, and basic English. Occasional on-site work hours and collaboration with the development team are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows system administration.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Administration and maintenance of database servers (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Server monitoring.
• Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, PHP, etc.)
• Network management and administration (routing, VPN, iptables).
• Basic level of English (written/spoken).
• Wide availability of hours.

Responsibilities

• Support and direct contact with the development team.
• Linux and Windows system administration.
• Infrastructure maintenance and management.
• Incident management and provision of support to both corporate and customers.
• Other responsibilities will involve improving IT management processes and software distribution.
• Support for the deployment of applications in production and their subsequent monitoring.
• Research and incorporation of new practices that improve existing ones.
