Job summary

DeterTech is seeking a DevOps Laravel Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You’ll work with our development teams to ensure scalable, secure and reliable Laravel applications across environments, with a strong focus on automation and IaC.

You will manage AWS services, implement CI/CD, and collaborate with security and operations to maintain high availability and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role supporting PHP/Laravel applications in production.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation/Ansible).
• Strong Linux administration skills and experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Practical knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases and caching technologies.
• Security-conscious mindset with best practices around access control and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure hosting Laravel apps using IaC.
• Manage development, staging and production environments with reliable release processes.
• Own configurations for web servers, databases and caching layers; ensure high availability and DR.
• Architect and maintain AWS footprint (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC) and ECS/containers.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Laravel apps; automate testing, build and deployment.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks and cloud governance with the team.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting; participate in incident reviews.
