SOSi seeks a DevOps Engineer to support a DoD customer, delivering a scalable, federated data ecosystem with robust security and mission-focused analytics. The role emphasizes Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud automation to enable secure, real-time data integration across environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or five years of equivalent DevOps experience.
Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure.
Proficient in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline).
Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), security best practices, and monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, automating cloud infra, and implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with microservices, service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), and observability tools.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages with STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC enforcement.
Implement and manage secrets injection strategies using FedRAMP-compliant tools; ensure compatibility with deployment pipelines.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines for secure, automated deployment and rollback of components across environments.
Coordinate with Kubernetes and Data Layer Engineers for version control, pipeline integrity, and testing of containerized services.
Coordinate with WO-009 infrastructure team to provide cloud usage profiles for deployments in IL2, IL4, IL5 environments.
Provide container/workload specs to support provisioning, tagging, and reservation planning.
Implement resource tagging and reconcile usage with estimates from WO-009.
Support cost-optimization efforts by adjusting workloads and scaling strategies.
